Matt Brashinger has repaired guitar and audio amplifiers in Chicago for five years through Inger Amplification. Matt is an Electronics Engineer with a degree from Devry University of Chicago. Clean design, rugged construction and high quality components are what Matt believes to be the hallmarks of high quality amplification.
Estimates
An estimate on any amplifier repair is a flat $25. Estimates include a full diagnostic on the problem(s) and a pricing of all parts necessary to complete the repair. After completion of the estimate, we will contact you to discuss the needed work. Should you choose to have us repair your amplifier, the $25 fee is waived and service labor time commences. If you decide not to have us repair your amplifier, you are given the estimate on a service form for the $25. If you decide to wait to have your amplifier repaired at a later date, you are welcome to leave your amp in our storage for 30 days at no charge. Should you pickup your amp for repair at a later date, your estimate is guarenteed for 30 days only for the problem(s) diagnosed during the estimate for the $25 fee.
Service Labor
Service labor is billed at $60 per hour. Service labor qualifies as the time spent repairing the amplifier, NOT the time it takes us to diagnose any problems. Unlike most others, we can offer this class of service because we take pride in our ability to toubleshoot and diagnose any and all issues. If we cannot find or solve a problem, why should you have to pay for it?
Amp Repair
Chicago Guitar & Amplifier is equiped to diagnose any and all problems with your amplifier. If you are experiencing decreased volume, blown fuses, unacceptable distortion, hum, white noise, loss of a feature (reverb, switching, etc.), scratchiness, popping, fading signal, blown speaker, intermittent signal, intermittent contact, buzzing, farting, rolling, crackling, fizzing, mushiness, low power, speaker noises, squealing, excessive feedback or anything else you find unacceptable, we will diagnose the problem and resolve it.
